The Process

Creating your personal documentary is simple and stress-free. Here’s how it works:

  1. Gather Your Memories
All we need from you are your photographs and videos—anything you’d like included in the film. I can digitize them right in your home, so your memories never leave your possession. Examples include:

    • You as a child, along with your parents, siblings, and grandparents

    • Your childhood home

    • Work or professional photos

    • Travel memories and special adventures
If you like, we can provide a checklist to make gathering these items easy.

  2. Answer Thoughtful Questions
We’ll provide a list of questions to guide your storytelling. You can choose which ones to answer and skip any that don’t apply.

  3. Pre-Filming Meeting
Whenever possible, we like to meet in person before the filming day to address any questions or concerns, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident.

  4. Filming Day
On the day of filming, we bring all the necessary equipment—cameras, lighting, and even drones—but our priority is keeping you relaxed. We capture interviews, your photos, and video memories, all carefully recorded to tell your story.

  5. Editing & Review
After filming, we edit everything together with music, titles, and a professional touch to create a full documentary of your life. We also do research on when and where you were born and find maps and photographs of the area. Once complete, you review the film and request any changes you’d like before the final version is delivered.
